Alright, I am awake. I had a full night's sleep, and am ready to post about the rest of my day yesterday!
So after leaving Kansas we got to Colorado (obviously...but I imagine not everyone know's the exact geography of the American midwest)
Anyways this is basically the Colorado we saw so far on our trip. Cows and rolling hills. It was very beautiful, but it was very cloudy so we didnt get to see the Rockies until we were almost to Denver.
It was incredible how many miles we would go without seeing a single house or sign of humanity other than fences. Then all of a sudden there were houses everywhere. It was incredibly bizarre.
Colorado you are an odd State.
While we were driving it hit me that this was the furthest away from an ocean I have ever been, the furthest inland I have ever been. The feeling I got after realizing that was....slightly claustrophobic. Living on the east coast my entire life, the idea that the ocean is not just a few hours away is slightly terrifying. Even when I visit my sister in Texas, the Gulf is right there.
The good news is that today is gorgeous outside. 60 degrees and sunny! We will be going out and about with Clarissa in Denver! Hopefully I can get some sun and stop looking like a walking corpse o.o
Claustrophobic? LOL You are in the middle of the country, only a tornado can get you (or lightening, or snow, or ....)
